Emma and Duke

I was going through the pictures on my computer yesterday and saving them to CDs, just in case. So, of course I had to look through a few old CDs of downloaded pics, and I found some Duke puppy pictures. He was so tiny and so cute, while he still is - cute, not tiny that is. But I just had to share the below picture.

That is puppy Duke and our family's Newfoundland, Emma. Emma was 9 when we brought Duke home and Duke thought Emma was just the best thing ever. She played it off like she could really care less about the little thing. He would always try to cuddle up with her and if she was awake she would stand up to make him slip off and go lay down somewhere else, but if she was sleeping he would just snuggle right in and they'd stay that way for a long time. He also really liked her fluffy tail and thought it was the best toy ever, but she tolerated him.

Emma is 13 now and Duke, 4, still worships the ground she walks on and does all he can to make her like him. To be honest, I think she just likes to give him a hard time since he tries so hard, but she pretty much acts like she wants nothing to do with him. I think this proves that she loves him though
