Pumpkins

Last weekend we carved pumpkins for Halloween! Maybe a little early, and who knows if our pumpkins will last until Halloween - I'm not sure they'll even make it to mid-October, but we had fun. The dogs enjoyed the pumpkin carving too, but poor them, they didn't get pumpkins. We think we'll go pick up a few more for them this weekend, but theirs are probably not going to get carved.

I think the only reason Greg decided that we could carve pumpkins was so that he could eat the seeds. Well, the seeds got sort of burnt and weren't really edible, plus they were such a pain to pick out of the gunk and get ready for the butter, salt, and baking that I think we'll just buy some next time!

The dogs are now sporting their Halloween collars. You can sort of see them in the pictures below, but Ruger's is orange with black and silver bats and Duke's is black with silver skull and crossbones.
